We know it’s very exciting to purchase a Cuadra boot because of its luxury and beauty, but we often see that customers don’t know how to keep their boots in optimal condition so they last and last (this is not a bunny battery commercial). That’s why we’re providing you with the essential care tips for most of the exotic leathers we offer.
Python Skin Care:
- It should be cleaned regularly with a soft cloth slightly dampened, always in the direction of the scales.
- To prevent the skin from drying out over time, it needs to be kept hydrated. Use an exotic leather conditioner and apply it with a soft cloth until fully absorbed.
- Avoid humid places / becoming damp.
- Avoid direct sunlight when not in use.
- Store in a dry place, preferably with low light.
- It is recommended to use a dust cover to protect from dust and dirt.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals on the skin. You can get our special kit for exotic skins.
- Avoid placing heavy objects on the product, as this can permanently damage the skin.
Care for Alligator, Nile Crocodile, Lizards and Moreleti Crocodile Leathers: |
- Avoid exposing the leather to extreme conditions, such as daily sunlight or rain, as this may cause it to lose its natural shine and begin to dry out.
- Store in a dry, dark place when not in use.
- Brush with a soft-bristle brush. If the leather is not fully cleaned with the brush, use a slightly damp cloth to assist.
- Apply a restorative cream with a sponge, then polish with a clean, dry cloth. If a glossy finish is not desired, skip the polishing step and simply apply the cream, allowing it to dry. You can get our special kit for exotic skins.
Nubuck / Nubuck-finished exotic leathers : |
- If the leather has a Nubuck finish, it requires preventive cleaning and the application of an aerosol repellent to prevent moisture and dust stains.
- If cleaning is needed, gently rub with a soft pad and apply a small amount of color-fixing shampoo. Once dry, reapply the aerosol repellent. You can get our special kit for exotic skins.
Deerskin: |
- Deerskin is one of the softest leathers on the market, making it very delicate.
- For cleaning, wipe with a slightly damp cloth—never wet—to remove dirt from the boots.
- Apply a restorative cream with a sponge, then polish with a clean, dry cloth. If a glossy finish is not desired, skip the polishing step and simply apply the cream, allowing it to dry.
Stingray Leather: |
- Brush stingray leather with a flannel cloth and a soft-bristle brush to reach areas that are difficult to clean and remove dirt.
- Avoid getting stingray leather wet.
- When the product is made of two different types of leather, apply restorative cream to the bovine leather to make it as shiny as the stingray leather.
