The 52UMTBI starts with texture. Its apron-toe vamp is cut from genuine stingray, whose tightly packed, pearl-like beads catch the light in a deep chocolate tone, and the panel is framed by a raised seam that runs around the front of the shoe. Everything behind it is smooth calfskin, hand-burnished to an espresso shade with a reddish undertone and a mirror-like shine across the almond toe.

The open derby lacing uses five pairs of eyelets and braided brown laces, so the fit adjusts easily over the instep.
